Learn@Lunch

Learn@Lunch This campaign design focused on two things - getting Chicagoans to visit this fascinating museum on their lunch hour, and finding volunteers for their various cleanup efforts along the Chicago River.

Marketing & Packaging

ADF Press - Bookcover

World Full of Gods The original cover had to be thrown together very quickly, so when ADF Press began planning for a reprinting in late 2007, they could take more time to find something that gave a stronger presence to this important work.

Healthcare Administration Press - Rindler

HAP - Rindler With two new books debuting, HAP needed author sell sheets that could be taken to speaking events, providing details about the contents of the book as well as how to purchase it. This sell sheet is for author Michael E. Rindler's book Strategic Cost Reduction.

Healthcare Administration Press - Halley

HAP - Halley As with Rindler's book above, this sell sheet was designed for Marc D. Halley's book The Primary Care Market Share Connection.

Ten Years Gone - Secretly Canadian

SC - 10 Years Gone Secretly Canadian is one of the most influential labels in the MidWest, if not the world when it comes to independent music. This CD package was designed to honor the hard work of the artists and the label's staff.

Bellytales & Beyond!

Bellytales Artist Jennifer Beers needed economical and eco-friendly packaging for her line of nursery stickers - the solution was to look for readily-available office supplies that could be tailored to her clients.

Ads & Posters

Corporate Country Sucks

Corporate Country Sucks Ads in the local papers are busy, busy, busy, and tend to blur into one big mass in the eyes of the reader. The solution was to create a clean, open ad with a minimal approach.

Big Fat Jazz Bastards

Big Fat Jazz Bastards Trombonist and artist Joel Adams approached me to create a gig poster for his experimental jazz quintet. Joel's art is inspired and a little twisted.

irsr - LOLChat

LOLChat A fun web ad for ifredsayred, inspired by watching my nephews text message their friends.

Illustrations

Cecilia Blasier

Piano Infographic Cecelia approached me about creating an infographic showing the tremendous academic advantages kids gain when they have piano lessons. For those with sharp eyes, the keyboard does indeed have all 88 keys!

October

October Leaves As part of my ongoing personal development, I've started creating a series of illustrations based on the months of the year. This is "October" and is available as a free wallpaper download.

Pitchfork

pitchfork I admit - I'm a Pitchfork Media fanboi. After reading an article about their desks overloaded with CDs to review, I created this illustration.

Logo & Identity

Logan Square Neighborhood Association

Logan Square Neighborhood Assoc. Logo New identity for my local neigborhood association, featuring a pared-down logo and modern color scheme to match the vibe of the people living here. The lamp shape is part of the Chicago Boulevard System, having been designed by Daniel Burnham.

Janet Berres

Janet Berres Logo Janet is a master of the Tarot, and wanted something that reflected an honoring of the mystical past as well as something that would reproduce well in all sizes.

Photo Retouching & Digital Editing

The Wright-Jaffe Family

Photo Restoration The Wright family came to me with several photos of their ancestors taken from the 1890s to the 1970s. This is a photo of their great-grandmother from 1923. The photo had water damage and was faded in some spots so badly that all detail was lost - until the magic of Photoshop!

Digital Retouching

Digital Retouching Destined to be part of a larger work, this photo of smokestacks in Indiana had some unpleasant fore- and background elements that had to be removed, then color corrected to make everything blend together.
